The Life of a Margarita

Stories written by a girl named Margarita

Trust we’ll be together soon

And that is a line from a song that is close to my heart. My Heart with You by The Rescues.

I am now 22 years old. Officially, two days ago! 🙂 My new goal of focusing on the present works well because it is as simple as that. When self-pity thoughts come haunting my mind, I just say out loud, “FOCUS ON THE PRESENT!” It has become a mantra and I really hope that just by believing in this simple phrase which I can apply in every aspect of my life (ex. studies!), I can be better. 🙂 Although it’s not a perfect system yet because by saying present I always “present” my mind with things to do meaning, topics I need to study. Yes, med school is harassing all of us. It’s as if, having and enjoying the company of friends is a luxury. When I’m with my friends, instead of focusing on them, my mind tells me I should focus on my studies! Ugh, but it’s actually more fun to be with friends than with books!

AAARRRGH! Med school is changing us into anti-social monsters! How ironic!

During my birthday, January 9, 2012.

school can be tough.lalo na med student ka pa. you just need to strike a balance between friends and studies. in my 29 years, if there’s one thing i’ve learned about balancing things is this- don’t complicate things, let it come to you as it is. you’ll get through it.
